It’s time!
We are in a critical point in the world’s development. Never before have the future been so dark but in the same time as bright as today.
It’s dark because of the divide between the rich and the poor part of the world is increasing faster and faster. One billion people are to poor to access the basic needs in the same time as the club of people worth of more then one billion dollar is growing. The poor are loosing the control over their own lives and on top of everything the human kind got a larger challenge then ever in a warmer climate.
But in the same time, the world is getting brighter then every. During the last years we’ve reached some critical points towards a fast development. Trough the history, there has been three major reasons that poverty, hunger and injustice have been strong.
1) Lack of money
2) Lack of technology
3) Lack of a plan how to make a better world.
But since 1990, the world has reached the critical points in every one of the reasons. Today, the 25 richest countries have so much money that the 0,7 percent of GDP that they have been promising the United Nations for many year will be enough to make the necessary investments. The technical development has made it much cheaper to grow food, get clean water, and keep in contact with doctors and much more. And last but not least, with the Millennium Development Goals Declaration from 2000, we got a plan how to make poverty and hunger history in our generation
So now it’s up to us, and it’s in the shoreline between theory and practice that TellusBlog.com will work. Vi want to take the dreams of at better world and make them concrete in order to inspire our readers to work even harder to make a better future.
